Glowing Yooper Stone Jewelry - Level 1 - $70 per person (flashlight upgrade available) - Sunday, 7/19 (12:00pm-1:00pm) plus 15 minutes drying time - Adults, Teens, Age 10+are welcome - Shape your own natural stone pendant from the Yooper Stone - Instructor, Sarah Nidek-Eberle of Stoned by Medusa (Level 2 class immediately following, separate reservation required) In this 60 minute session, Come experience the world of fluorescent minerals with stones collected from your instructor Sarah, who combs the beaches at night in search of those orange glowing rocks. These are RARE to find and a conversation piece. There are 15 different Glowing Lake Erie Fluorescent Sodalite Matrixes that have been discovered in North East Ohio! Pick out your favorite and turn it into a keepsake pendant. The stones will only glow with a UV flashlight, which is available with an upgrade purchase. Participants will learn about the art of Lapidary, using several different wheels/grits to polish the stones creating something one-of-a-kind. There is a 15 minute drying time after class. Pendants will go home with participants that day. Optional 365 NM long wave blacklight flashlight add on available for $20 additional.
