Pick Your Own Geode at Copper Moon! • Saturday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. RSVP required. Registered guests may arrive anytime during this window. Choosing and cutting a geode takes approximately 3 to 10 minutes, depending on its size, so you do not need to stay for the full two hours. • Geodes range from $20 to $80. Selection is first come, first served for registered guests. • Adults, teens, and children are welcome. Instructor Sarah Nidek-Eberle of Stoned by Medusa will do all the cutting. Guests will explore, observe, and take home their own one of a kind geode. Discover what’s inside one of Mother Nature’s fascinating creations! Choose from a variety of raw, unopened geodes collected with permission by local rockhound Sarah Nidek-Eberle on private property in Indiana. Geodes range from 1 to 6 inches, with prices based on size. Once you’ve made your selection, Sarah will cut your geode in half to reveal what’s inside. Each geode has a cavity with loose crystals you can hear when you shake it. Interiors may contain quartz, calcite, or chalcedony, with colors ranging from white and yellow to red and brown. Some may even have botryoidal formations. The exact colors and formations are a surprise until the geode is opened! RSVP required to attend. This event is subject to cancellation if minimum attendance is not met. Any advance payments will be refunded in full if the event is canceled.
